‘Slaves in the colonies’, House of Commons Parliamentary Papers 1826-7 (111) (146) p. 7: M.S. Bennett, fiscal of the colony, was an Advocate of pro deo and Guardian of Slaves. Bennett registered 216 and 72 enslaved persons as half proprietor of Reliance and Woodley Park estates, and 10 domestic enslaved persons as sole owner.
