T71/885: claim by Messrs. W. Hamilton & Co., for 77 enslaved persons, and by Richard Grosvenor Butts for 112 enslaved persons. Counterclaims from Messrs. John Campbell & Co., by virtue of a mortgage of £1517 2s 0d (admitted by W.S. Hamilton as to £1600 and paid to AGMilne); and from Messrs. Reid Irving & Co., by virtue of a mortgage of £4864 5s 0d (admitted by Richard Grosvenor Butts and paid to them 'in part satisfaction of the amount due to them').  

T71/433 p. 2233: Richard Grosvenor Butts registered 225 enslaved persons on Thomas plantation in 1832.
