Elizabeth Summers formerly Hartley (née Young)

In her will, Elizabeth Summers bequeathed portraits of her brother William and her sister Mary [Sewell] in a gilt frame, which she said had been cut out of the 'family painting by Zophany', i.e. The family of Sir William Young by Johann Zoffany, in the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. The catalogue text makes no reference to a reassembly of the picture, in which William and Mary sit together to one side of the family, on the right of the picture.
