Enslaved people were bought from the trustees of D. Morrice by Thomas McCracken at some point between 1829 and 1832. It's assumed these people were moved to McCracken's estate called Reading Pen because they were all registered on Reading Pen in the compensation records. It's not know if McCracken also bought the land.
