Ann Williams and her eight children by George Huie were named as residuary legatees in a codicil to the will of George Huie written 28/10/1832. Note that details of the original will have not been uncovered so the contents of his residuary estate are not clear; in a letter dated 19/07/1833 George's sister Ann Huie wrote that George included in his will a letter to his executor James Murray, 'wherein he begs him to see Justus done to all parties'. Of the size of the fortune, Ann commented, 'he has not left a Great Fortune behind him, no last has provided well for his family...' The codicil named the children as Robert, George Thomas, Ann, Helen, Susan, Margaret Carneily, Catheren and Mary.
