This estate was probably owned b y William French and then inherited by his widow Mary Jones French nee Fry. Enslaved people were moved to this estate from Eldersley in St Elizabeth (also inherited by Mary Jones French) and passed in some form of trusteeship to Michael Muirhead after the remarriage of Mary Jones French to Thomas Smyth.
