- Call of creditors to a meeting to consider proposal for composition of debts following sequestration of the company of John M'Caul & Sons of Glasgow and of John M'Caul merchant in Copenhagen and John Gordon M'Caul merchant in St Croix as partners in the company, November 1820; Francis Garden had placed a notice signalling his appointment as trustee in January of that year (dated 22/1/1820). Garden died in 1831 and was replaced as trustee. Both M'Cauls were described as 'late of Glasgow' in 1822.
