Eliza Edmonstone (1805-1860) unsuccessfully counterclaimed for compensation in Trinidad with her sister Margaret Hester Edmonstone (q.v.) as mortgagees. Sister of Archibald Edmonstone (q.v.), proprietor of estates in Demerara.
Born 06/09/1805 in Strathblane, Stirlingshire, Scotland, her parents were Archibald Edmonstone and his wife Elizabeth née Aitkin. In 1851 she was age 45, unmarried, occupation "Proprietor of Stock", living with her sister M.H. Edmonstone age 62 and her brother Archibald Edmonstone age 64.
Eliza Edmonstone died 01/09/1860 at Park Terrace, Stirling, age 55.
