Biography

Attorney to John Gregory on Fellowship Hall, Clarendon, Jamaica, in 1823 and 1826. Possibly the same person as Walter G. Carruthers (q.v.): the two were shown interchangeably as owners of Bank in Clarendon 1823-1829. Walter Joseph Carruthers appears to have purchased the Bank estate from Peter Pattie but failed to pay for it, since it returned to Pattie c. 1830.
