Biography

  1. Eldest son of William Ponsonby of St Vincent, admitted to Middle Temple Feb.1817, called [to the Bar] April 1822. Married Sarah Hetty, daughter of Rev. W. Goddard of Stargrove House Hants in 1822. Shown by Charles Shephard as a co-owner of Revolution Hall but this is not directly borne out by compensation claims or the Slave Registers, which show Revolution Hall against the Ponsonby family as heirs of William Glenn without specifying William Glenn Ponsonby.

  2. William Glenn Ponsonby of St Vincent was listed as a subscriber to Charles Shepherd's An Historical Account of the Island of Saint Vincent, published in 1832.
