John Reid senior of Long Pond

Biography

'John Reid senior' was shown as the owner of Long Pond in Jamaica 1775-1776; and the late John Reid was shown as pwner 1780-1800.

John Reid was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 1000 acres of land in St James.

John Reid senior contributed £42 to the University of Pennsylvania following Dr John Morgan's fundraising tour of the West Indies in 1772-1773.
