Biography

Slave-owner in Berbice, dead by 1818, and probably the man below. Possibly the same man also as the dead owner in British Guiana no. 224.

  1. 'In December last, at Barbadoes, in his 49th year, Richard Harris, Esq., many years an eminent planter in the colony of Berbice.—He was on his way to England, his native country, from which he had been absent 25 years.'
