Biography

Patrick Adam of Kingston, merchant. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1748. Slave-ownership at probate: 139 of whom 78 were listed as male and 61 as female. 38 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £47015.19 Jamaican currency of which £4974 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £425.78 currency cash, £37106.24 currency debts and £0 currency plate.

Patrick Adam, deceased was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 1043 acres of land in St Mary.

The will of Patrick Adam was proved in Jamaica in 1746.
