Biography

  1. The will of Henry Coleman of the Hon. Society of the Inner Temple lately residing in Jamaica was made 17/09/1726 and proved in 1733. He left £100 as well as the £145 he owed to her on bond to Mrs Elizabeth Wharton of Bath who had clearly looked after him in his 'long sickness'. He ordered the sale of his unspecified real estate in Jamaica for the benefit of his only daughter Elizabeth Coleman. He appointed two trustees William Leaver and William Cross in Jamaica to oversee the sale of his assets including 'Negroes', and made Elizabeth Wharton and Harrington Gibbes of Bristol merchant his executors.
