Purchaser between 1828 and 1831 of Bakers estate on St Kitts with 111 enslaved people, for whom he was awarded compensation in 1835 (when the population of enslaved people had reached 116). It is not clear whether he was the same man as Griffin Bascom of Demerara (1790-1852), who was born and died in Barbados.
