John McKie

Awarded part of the compensation for the Samuel Harman estate in Antigua with W.Croil and W. Graham, the three men either former partners or executors of an as yet unknown deceased beneficiary. Probably but not certainly the John M'Kie of Glasgow whose firm of John M'Kie & Co. of Glasgow terminated 31/12/1821, the branches of which in Antigua under the name of John & James M'Kie and in Barbados under the name of James M'Kie terminated 31/03/1822. Probably the same man as the awardee of compensation for 11 enslaved people in St John Antigua under a separate award in the same name.
