Margaret Hester Edmonstone

Margaret Hester Edmonstone (1788-1872) unsuccessfully counterclaimed for compensation in Trinidad with her sister Eliza Edmonstone (q.v.) as mortgagees. Sister of Archibald Edmonstone (q.v.), proprietor of estates in Demerara.

1. Born 04/11/1788 in Strathblane, Stirlingshire, Scotland, daughter of Archibald Edmonstone of Spittal and his wife Elizabeth née Aitken. In 1851 she was age 62, unmarried, occupation "Proprietor of Stock", living with her sister Eliza Edmonstone age 45 and her brother Archibald Edmonstone age 64.
