Biography

Co-owner with James Hill Albouy of two groups of enslaved people in British Guiana; almost certainly these people were employed in the docks at Georgetown. Jonathan Stoddard and James Hill Albouy were partners in Georgetown trading under the style of the Dockyard.

Jonathan Stoddard was dead by 04/05/1844, when he was described in a call on behalf of his executors for creditors to come forward, as 'in his life time a native of Connecticut, United States of North America, and inhabitant of the colony of British Guiana,- and latterly residing at Ledyard, Connecticut.'
