Slavery & the Bank at the Bank of England Museum

The Slavery & the Bank exhibition at the Bank of England Museum explores the history of transatlantic slavery through its connections with the Bank of England and the wider City of London. The free exhibition is open now, Monday to Friday 10am – 5pm, with late openings until 8pm every third Thursday of the month, until 28 April 2023.

Humphry Morice: Slave-trader and Embezzler of the Bank
The Bank of England Museum will host a free talk by Dr Matthew David Mitchell on Humphry Morice, the largest-volume British slave trader of the first half of the eighteenth century, on Thursday 21 July 5.45pm - 7pm. This will be a hybrid event.
