About me

Julie Pitcher is the Associate Director (Education) at the LMCB. In this capacity, she oversees all teaching activities and initiatives at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and fosters the development and implementation of new teaching and training programmes. Julie plays an influential role in UCL education at both Faculty and Divisional levels, sitting on a large number of teaching and steering committees across the Faculty of Life Sciences and is chair of the LMCB Graduate Committee.

• Co-Director of the MSci Cell Biology degree
• Programme Tutor for the Wellcome Trust Optical Biology PhD Programme.
• Module organiser of 6 undergraduate modules and teaches on a further 19 modules.
