Of Milford House, Hampshire. Owner of Catherine Mount in St James, Jamaica. His brother-in-law Thomas Edward Symonds, of Southampton (Hampshire), claimed the compensation for enslaved people on Catherine Mount as executor and devisee in trust, but the award was made to Boddington and Davis as mortgagees.
William Reynolds married Sophia Symonds in Pennington, Hampshire, 15/10/1810.
The will of William Reynolds, planter of St James in the County of Cornwall, Island of Jamaica, was signed in 1828 and proved 26/04/1834. He named his executors as Captain Thomas Symonds of the Merchant Navy [identified in the probate as Thomas Edward Symonds] and Mrs Mary Ann Theresa Whitby as his executors and left his estate to be shared between his [unnamed] children as tenants-in-common.
