The sitter in Portrait of a lady in the character of Una, by Sir William Beechey c. 1821, was Clara Fuller, the daughter of Augustus Elliott Fuller. The portrait was paid for, and probably commissioned, by Clara Fuller's grandmother Mrs Meyrick, Augustus Elliott Fuller's mother-in-law. '[T]his portrait is probably now at the family seat at Bodorgan' [to which A.E. Fuller's eldest son succeeded].
W. Roberts, Sir William Beechey R.A. (London, 1907) p. 154.
In the will of Owen Putland Meyrick (q.v.) he specified the portrait and ordered it not be sold.
