Biography

Jamaica-born wife of local planter Alexander Heron. Mother of Frances Catherine Woodburn née Heron (q.v.). Awarded compensation as the executor of her husband who died in 1825.

  1. Born c. 1781 in Jamaica, her parents were James Smith and Mary Cresse. On 21/03/1798 she married Alexander Heron, a planter, in St Elizabeth, Jamaica. They had 10 children born in Jamaica between 1799 and 1821. Anna Maria Heron died in 1848 age 66.
