In 1861 James Mitchell gentleman aged 61 was living at Heath [sic] Oxfordshire with his wife Jane (born Carshalton: possibly his first cousin, the daughter of David Mitchell of Carshalton, the father of Rowland Mitchell et al); in 1881 James Henry Mitchell born about 1801 at Richmond Surrey aged 80 was living at Hethe with his wife Jane; James Henry Mitchell born about 1799 died in 1892 aged 93 at Bicester.
