Biography

Barrister-at-law. Son of Gibbes Walker Jordan (under whose will he inherited £6000) and brother of Joseph William Jordan (q.v. for both).

  1. Adm. pens. at ST JOHN'S, Dec. 3, 1821. [3rd s. of Gibbes Walker (1774).] B. [Mar. 2, 1803], in St Pancras, Middlesex. School, Westminster. Matric. Lent, 1822; B.A. 1826. Adm. at the Inner Temple, June 28, 1824. Called to the Bar, July 3, 1829. On the Oxford Circuit. Died Oct. 14, 1846, in Gloucester Road, Regent's Park, having shot himself with a pistol whilst labouring under religious insanity. Brother of Gibbes W. (1818).   2. Will of William Walker Jordan of Esher Surrey [made in 1841] proved 06/11/1846. The will is very brief and made his wife Sarah Margaret Downes Jordan his universal legatee and executrix.
