Brother of Edward Long the historian (q.v.) and heir in entail of their father Samuel Long of Tredudwell (q.v.).

  1. Will of Robert Long of [the island of Jamaica but now residing in the parish of] Twickenham proved 21/07/1772. In the will he alludes to two monetary legacies of £2000 and £1000 from his father Samuel secured on real and personal estate, which he left to his wife Lucy together with all his other [unspecified] property.
