William Grant Walcott

Biography

  1. Listed as owner of Glen Islay estate in Westmoreland, Jamaica, in the Almanac of 1818. Probably the partner in Walcott & Capon who was listed as owner of the same estate in the Almanac of 1816.

  2. William Millwart Walcott, son of William Grant Walcott and his wife Mary, was born 14/12/1798 and baptised 28/12/1798 in Westmoreland, Jamaica. William Millward Walcott of Westmoreland, esq., married Maria Minto of the same, spinster, by licence, 23/02/1822.

  3. William Grant Walcott esq of Glenislay plantation died in the lodging house of Fanny Myrie at Savanna-la-Mar on 25/01/1817 and was buried in the new burying ground on the following day. The burial record states he was born on the Island of Barbados.
