Biography

Of Lyndhurst in the County of Southampton, owner of Mount Ephraim in Jamaica and devisee in trust of Charles Blair (1743-1802). Son of David Robert Michel (q.v.), from whom he inherited Mount Ephraim and the enslaved people on it.

  1. Will of Charles William Michel of Northwood House near Lyndhurst in the New Forest Hampshire proved 07/06/1827. By the time of his will he had sold out of his Jamaica estate and the enslaved people on it, and his will left his English property in trust for his wife Etheldred deals with numerous monetary legacies of £100-£1000 to family and friends. He appointed Viscount St Vincent and Vere Fane, two of his own executors, as his successors to the trusteeship under Charles Blair's will.
