Slave-owner in Jamaica, about to move to Britain when he made his will in 1822.
Will of John Meek of Kingston Surrey [Jamaica about to depart this island for Great Britain] proved 09/04/1827. Under the will he left all his property to his daughter Hannah, wife of John Roe 'practitioner of physic' late of Kingston but now in Surrey in Great Britain, subject to an annuity of £100 p.a. to her mother Mary Meek. In codicil of 1825 made in London he appointed John Roe as well as Hannah as executors.
John Meek of Upper Berkeley Street was buried 13/02/1826 at St Marylebone aged 58.
