Isaac Allen junior

Biography

  1. Eldest son of Hon. Isaac Allen (owner of Breadnut Valley in St Elizabeth, Jamaica) and his wife Cecilia. Baptised in St Elizabeth in 1811. His mother died between 1817 and 1820 leaving 5 young children. His father died c. 1821; Breadnut Valley was in the hands of receivers in 1823 and by 1829 it had been bought by Edward Smith.

  2. Isaac junior owned a group of enslaved people, probably worked on his father's estate, from at least 1817. He was deceased by 1829 while still a minor; his enslaved people were inherited by his siblings Jordan and Cecilia.
