Biography

Indebted slave-owner on St Kitts, the compensation for the enslaved people on whose estates was paid to Reid, Irving of London. Nephew and heir of James Tyson from whom he inherited the Conarees estate and the enslaved people attached to it.

  1. Thomas Tyson appears in an unflattering light in John Johnson's Reports Relating to Mr. Gordon's Estates in the West Indies, 1824, as a long-term lessee of the Gordon family.
