George Webbe of Mylor, Cornwall

Biography

  1. Will of George Webbe formerly of Nevis but now of Mylor Cornwall [made 14/10/1826] proved 16/06/1827. The will identified his sister as Frances Parson and his brother-in-law as the late James Tobin deceased, his nephews as George Tobin and Rev. William Woodley Parson, his natural son by Phillis Simonds as Charles Webbe otherwise Dickens otherwise Dicks. He confirmed the annuities he had previously settled of £200 p.a. on his niece Frances Mary Parson and £200 p.a. and £100 p.a. on Charles Webbe. Subject to these legacies and annuities, he left the freehold in the estates in trust for his natural son by Frances Cavell known as George Cavell Webbe for life and then to George Cavell Webbe's children as tenants-in-common and failing those to Charles Webbe. His residuary heir, including for his yacht the 'Solace' was George Cavell Webbe.

  2. "Died at Flushing, on the 29th ult, aged 63 [sic], George Webbe, Esq. of the Island of Nevis, many years a resident of Falmouth and Flushing, in Cornwall."
