Biography

At one time Royal Navy captain, 'in possession' in the 1834 slave registration of Stone Fort on St Kitts, the compensation for the enslaved people on which was paid to his brother, George Washington Philips (q.v.).

  1. Henry Leigh Philips married Anna, daughter of E[benezer] Fuller Maitland of Park Place Oxfordshire at St George's Hanover Square 23/08/1843.
