Biography

  1. Will of Deborah Briscoe [sic] widow of [Wimpole Street] St Marylebone proved 19/09/1797. She left £5000 in trust with the income to go to her daughter Elizabeth Woodstock Yorke, wife of John Yorke [of Halton Place, Yorks., d. 1813], and the principal to be willed by Elizabeth Woodstock Yorke at her decease; she left £1100 owed to her by John Yorke and a further £2000 for the benefit of her grand-daughter Mary Ann Campbell, and £2000 each to three other grand-daughters. She willed the personalty arising in Jamaica from her deceased husband Peter Campbell having settled the indebtedness of her brother Barnart Andries Woodstock's estates there to her son, also Peter Campbell.
