Glasgow merchant, partner in John Campbell senior & Co.

  1. Will of Alexander Campbell Halyard merchant of Glasgow proved 25/11/1817. He left his estate in trust to a large group of trustees including his partners Mungo Nutter Campbell and Colin Campbell to secure an annuity of £500 p.a to his wife Barbara. He left £7500 to each of his two younger sons Archibald Campbell and John James Campbell, and £5000 each to his daughters Sarah Mann [?] and Ann Penelope Campbell Dennistoun Campbell, with the remainder to his residuary heir his eldest son Mungo Campbell.
