Richard Frisby

No Dates

The Chancery case of Ravenscroft v Frisby, into which the compensation for the enslaved people on Morris Loobys in Antigua was paid, appears in connection with the will of Valentine Morris, formerly of Piercefield, late Governor of St Vincent and since of the Island of Jersey, who died in London in 1789. Among his specific legatees were Sarah and Charles Ravenscroft of Jersey and their son Valentine John Ravenscroft. Richard Frisby was one of the assignees of James Ballmer, a London merchant and presumably creditor of Valentine Morris.
