William Long

Biography

Son of Beeston Long junior (q.v.), who left him £10,000 in his will. William Long also inherited from his uncle Rev. William Long (q.v.) while Hurts Hall also passed to him, apparently under the entail in the will of Charles Long of Saxmundham (q.v.).

  1. The will of William Long of Hurts Hall Saxmundham who died 28/01/1875 at Hurts Hall was proved 01/03/1875 at Ipswich by two sons, William Beeston Long and Arthur Heathcote Montague Long, effects £18,000.

  2. William Long's elder son William Beeston Long died at Aldeburgh Suffolk 02/09/1892 leaving effects of £27,534 14s 5d; his younger son Arthur Heathcote Montague Long died 29/03/1920 of Montague Square leaving £49,255 11s 8d.
