Son of Colonel Robert Byndloss (1636-1687) and his wife Anna Petronella nee Morgan. Baptised 17/08/1683. Member of Assembly for St Catherine 1724-5; St Thomas-in-the-Vale, 1726-8. Will proved 28/03/1730. Married 24/05/1710 to Catharine, daughter of Matthew Gregory, Speaker in 1705, and sister of Dr Matthew Gregory.

Slave-ownership at probate: 160 of whom 96 were listed as male and 64 as female. 40 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £6958.55 Jamaican currency of which £4236 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £0 currency cash, £0 currency debts and £133.8 currency plate.
