Biography

Trustee of the marriage settlement of George Carrington (q.v.) and Anna Maria Parris. Probably the Henry Blanshard whose partnership with William Wilson as merchants and insurance-brokers at Broad Street was dissolved 31/12/1812, and certainly the Director of the London Assurance.

  1. Married Sarah Ann Percival at St Mary Islington 24/03/1814. Children Margaret and Henry baptised at St Mary Islington 1815 and 1820 respectively. In 1851 Henry Blanshard was living at 37 Great Ormond Street aged 65 Retired Merchant, born Walworth Surrey. Will of Henry Blanshard of Great Ormond Street proved 23/05/1854. The son Henry Blanshard the younger, a banker of Lombard Street, left £60,000 at his death in 1870.
