With her sisters Ann Lowe and Mary Pownall (both of whom q.v.) awarded the compensation for Violet Bank in Port Royal.

  1. Violet Bank was shown against Mary Lowe from 1811 until 1817; in 1818 it was shown ('Violet Bank and Carnagan') against Rev. A.W. Pownall; in 1821 and 1822 it was shown against W.G. Lowe and in 1824 against Mary Pownall, and in 1833 against William G. Lowe.

  2.  Mrs Hannah Foley was shown leasing land in Lismore in the 1850s.


T71/864 Port Royal 15. Letter T71/1608 27/10/1835 from Geo. Nicholson Grays Inn, acting for Mrs Foley and Miss Lowe of Lismore, Ireland, identifies Mary Pownall as their sister.
