- National Probate Calendar 1865; Walford, County Families (1864) shows him as 'of Burbage Leicestershire', born 1781, s[ucceeded] 1825, son of William Weightman of Burbage, educated St Paul's, married Mary Ann Milward 1812, and singles out one of the couple's children, Hugh, a barrister. Weightman's connection to the Barretts is not immediately apparent.
