Biography

Executor of Job Matthew Raikes.

  1. Brice Pearse had married Charlotte Raikes at Woodford in 1796; death of Brice Pearse registered Q4 1842 Hastings Sussex.

  2. Brice Pearse elected Governor of the Company for working of Mines, Minerals and Metals in that part of Great Britain called Scotland 1826. Brice Pearse of Monkham in Woodford chosen as one of three sheriffs for Essex 1828. Brice Pearse retired by rotation as director of the Van Diemen' s Land Company 1831 and 1837.

  3. Brice Pearse (13/07/1770-20/08/1842) was an army clothier of John and Brice Pearse of 41 Lothbury and 48 Long Acre, who left £100,000.

  4. Brice Pearse junior died in 1866, leaving effects under £30,000. In 1851 Brice Pearse aged 51 born Woodford Landowner was living at Lower Brook Street with his wife Harriet G aged 45, and son Brice H. (aged 24) and daughter Charlotte (aged 15).

  5. Brice Pearse - whether senior or junior is unclear - was living at 12 Gloucester Place in 1838.
