Biography

Mary Mills of Bishops Hull, Somerset, administratrix (with William Maynard Mills, q.v.) of William Mills (q.v.).

  1. There is no obvious sign of Mary Mills in the area of Bishop’s Hull, Somerset, in 1841 nor in later censuses. In 1841 there was a Fanny Mills, aged 60, in the village of Bishop’s Hull. She was described as Ind. and born in county. There was a death registered for a Mary Mills in the December quarter of 1837 in the Taunton Registration District which includes Bishop’s Hull. The will of a William Mills of Bishops Hull Somerset was proved 02/12/1817 and the grant of administration identified Mary Mills as his relict and William Maynard Mills as his son.
