The London merchant William Berney (c. 1728-1762) had three children, Dorothy Elizabeth (who married Edmund Boehm), Robert (the father of George Robert Boehm Berney) and Mary Eleanor, who married Thomas Henchman and died at New Burlington Street in 1799. 2. The will of Emma Doherty of Hill Villa Southampton who died 21/02/1861 was proved 24/05/1861 by Henry Edward Doherty, Lt-col of the 14th Light Dragoons, effects under £20,000. (Henry Edward Doherty was the nephew of Emma Doherty née Henchman, although he is not identified as such in the National Probate Calendar). On 13/07/1886 administration of the will (effects £16065 5s 2d), left unadministered by Henry Edward Docherty, was granted to Beatrice Katherine Louisa Doherty of Vernon house [and?] Weston Park Bath, the administratix of the personal estate of Charles Wilshire Onslow Doherty, the residuary legatee.
