Thomas's name followed by "c.m." in the 1832 Barbados Slave Register, probably meaning "coloured man".
William Pharour Thomas registered five enslaved people in trust in St Michael, Barbados, to be manumitted from the estate of John Straker Thomas deceased. The enslaved people were jointly owned by William Pharour Thomas, John Straker Thomas, Sarah Straker Jordan and Mary Ann Cummins, all "fm" ("free mulattoes").
