Illegitimate daughter of Andrew Wright and Ruth Sinclair. Interited a half share in Mitcham in St Elizabeth in trust from her father in 1806 on condition that she not return to Jamaica unless married.
No birth record found for her but her sister Ann Wright was born February 1788 and baptised 18/12/1789 in St Elizabeth, Jamaica, the daughter of Mr Andrew Wright and Ruth Sinclair (a free Mestee [octoroon]), "Child reputed white". Of Camberwell, Surrey, when she married George Roberts in Hackney, 02/11/1816.
Her eldest child Edward Maitland was baptised in St Giles, Camberwell, in August 1818; abode given as Camberwell, father's occupation given as Gentleman, a note added "Born in Jamaica 27th January 1817"). Another son William Allen was baptised in the same church in December 1818. An unsourced but very detailed website gives a daughter Rebecca born in Alverstoke, Hants. 13/07/1820, baptised in the same place 26/08/1820. A daughter Georginanna was baptised in St Mary, Kennington, in 1827, with her parents' abode given as Jamaica and her father's occupation as merchant.
Deceased by 1834 when part of the compensation for Silver Grove was awarded to her husband as guardian of her children.
