Biography

Heiress of the original claimant Ann Morris (q.v.), from whom she inherited the Richmond & Clarendon estate in Manchester in Jamaica.

  1. Harriet Onslow Morris was born 10/02/1812 and baptised 03/02/1813 at White Hall, St Thomas-in-the-East, Jamaica. Harriet Onslow Morris married Robert Puzey [sic] Gentleman of St Mary Lambeth, 23/04/1839 at St Nicholas Guildford.   

  2. Mary Adelaide, daughter of Robert and Harriet Outram [sic] Puzey of 33 Park Road baptised Christ Church St Marylebone 02/04/1840; Harriet Puzey was living with Robert Puzey and others at Park Road, Marylebone, in the census of 1841; Flora Anne, daughter of Robert and Harriet Onslow Puzey, baptised Christ Church St Marylebone 06/10/1841. Harriet Onslow Puzey of 33 Park Road St Johns Wood aged 31 buried St Marylebone 12/10/1843. Robert Puzey appears ot have remarried and appears as 'bankers clerk' in the 1851 and 1871 censuses.

  3. Richmond appears (under Clarendon) as John Morris in the 1812 and 1817 Jamaica Almanacs and (under Manchester) as  'heirs of John Morrice' [sic] in the 1818 Almanac; by 1822 it is shown as Ann Morris.  

  4. Will of Ann Morris of West Clandon Surrey proved 06/07/1835.
