Hon. Paul Horsford

Chief Justice of Antigua in 1830, brother of George Horsford (q.v.) and fourth son of John Horsford of Antigua, admitted to the Middle Temple 1791, called to the bar 1796. Owner of Bodkin's in the Registers between 1817 and 1828.

1. 'Buried in St. John's Cathedral, Antigua. Located South Wall. Plaque states - sacred to the memory of the Hon. Paul Horsford, a member of her Majesty's Council, and who for a series of years filled successively the important offices of Speaker of the House of Assembly/ Solicitor General, Attorney General, and Chief Justice of this island. he departed this life on the 16th April AD 1850 aged 79 years. His mortal remains lie interred within the burial grounds of this Cathedral in the vault of the Warner Family wherein also repose the ashes of a sister, and of two of his brothers. This tablet has been erected by the surviving daughter and two sons of the deceased as an unpretending tribute of respect and effection to the memory of the best of fathers, and as a lasting record of their bereavement.'
