At the time Colin Campbell of made his will of St George Hanover Square in 1748, leaving half of the Orange Bay estate to his son also named Colin, the other half of the estate appears to have belonged to John Campbell of Orange Bay, then a minor, who inherited from his father James Campbell (who d. 1744). It is not yet known when ownership was united.
