28th Nov 1770 - ????
George Fletcher Coward, son of John and Mary Coward, born 28/11/1770 and baptised 18/05/1771 in St Catherine, Jamaica. His mother may be the Mary Coward, widow, who married Francis McDermot in St Catherine in 1772 (this is suggested by the Whitehall connection).
George Fletcher Coward married Milborough Scott in St James in 1800. No baptism has been found to Walter Scott Coward. Six children baptised in St James: George Scott, John Fletcher, Mary Tharp, Ann Catherine, Sarah Elizabeth and William Tharp.
